It answers when you cannot, finds out what the caller needs, and emails you a clean summary before you park.
Call down a list of NEMT providers sometime and count how many pick up. The big established outfits answer. The small ones mostly do not, and a lot of them never call back either.
Before you read another word of my argument, go make the call yourself and form your own opinion.
Hear it yourself
(980) 427-3536Call it right now and act like a customer. Ask about a wheelchair ride to a dialysis appointment next Tuesday. What you get is what your callers get.
This is not a discipline problem
Here is why the phone rings out, and if you run one of these you already know. You are an owner operator. You are driving. You have a passenger in the car.
You should not answer that phone. Taking a call with somebody's mother sitting three feet behind you is unprofessional, and being on the phone while you are driving her is worse than unprofessional. So the call rings out. And that person calls the next name on their list, and they never think about you again.
You did not lose that ride because you are bad at this. You lost it because you were doing the job. That is the trap, and it gets worse the busier you get, which is the exact opposite of how a business is supposed to work.
What it actually does
It answers. Not a menu, not a beep. It talks to the caller like a person taking a message, works out what they actually need, and gets the details that matter: who they are, a callback number, where they are going, when, and whether it is a wheelchair or an ambulatory ride.
Then it emails you a clean written summary of the call. That summary is the real product. The second you park you know who called and what they wanted, in writing, in order, without listening back to six voicemails where two of them are somebody saying hey it is me, call me back.
A written summary is also something you can hand to somebody else. You can forward it, you can act on it three hours later, and you can look back at the end of the week and count how many calls you would otherwise have dropped on the floor.
You set the rules
There are two normal setups and you pick the one that matches how you run.
- After hours only. Somebody answers during business hours and the AI takes nights, weekends, and anything that rolls over when the line is busy.
- Everything. Nobody is sitting on the phones, so it picks up every call that comes in and you work from the summaries.
You can change that whenever your staffing changes. What it says and what it asks for gets configured for your business before it goes live, so it is not reading a generic script about your services. It knows the mobility types you handle and the area you cover.
What it is really competing with
Be clear about the comparison, because this is where operators talk themselves out of it. This is not competing with a receptionist. For most of the people reading this there is no receptionist to replace. There is you, driving, and a phone ringing out into a voicemail box that a good share of callers will not leave a message on anyway.
That is the bar. Voicemail. Anything that answers, understands what the caller wants, and writes it down beats it before we even start arguing about how good it sounds. And you do not have to take my word for how good it sounds, because the demo line is right there.
What it does not do
It captures, you confirm. It does not book the ride on your behalf and it does not touch your schedule. That is on purpose. A bad booking made without you is worse than a missed call, because now you have a customer standing outside expecting a van.
It also stays away from broker and Medicaid trip information, same boundary as everything else we sell.
And it is not a fix for a business that has no leads. If your phone is not ringing at all, this does nothing for you, and I would rather say that here than take your money and watch you cancel. The problem upstream is that nobody can find you, and the website is where that one gets solved.
The math on this one is short
A ride you would have lost is worth eighty to a hundred dollars in most markets, and the good ones repeat every week. If your phone is ringing out while you drive, you are not losing one of those in a month. You are losing several, and you never find out about any of them.
So this thing does not need to be perfect. It needs to be better than a phone ringing out into nothing, which is a low bar, and the demo line above exists so you can judge that for yourself instead of believing a page.
The AI receptionist is delivered, billed, and supported directly by our partner Streamline Service Hub. We introduce you and we help you decide whether it fits, but your account and your support relationship are with them. We make no representations about your own regulatory obligations, and you should not send it information you are not permitted to share.
Straight answers
- What does the AI receptionist actually say?
- Call it and find out. The demo line is on this page. It answers, works out what the caller needs, and sends you a written summary. You decide whether it takes everything or only picks up when you do not.
- Is this replacing a person?
- For most of the operators we work with there is no person to replace. There is you, driving, and a phone ringing out. It is not competing with a receptionist you already have, it is competing with voicemail.
- Am I locked into a contract?
- No. Everything here is month to month. If it stops being worth it, you cancel. The reason we can do that is the work is good enough that people stay, and a client who wants out is not a client worth holding hostage.
- Is there a bundle if I take more than one?
- No bundle, and no package pricing games. Each service is its own line item at its own price. Take one, take three, drop one next month. The math is the math.

Not sure this is the one you need?
Every service here is a separate line item and most operators only need one to start. Look at the whole list, or book thirty minutes and we will tell you which one is yours.
